Although I never did much fishing in my youth, preparing trout this way always makes me feel that, if I was an angler, I would have made this a lot on the camp fire. Such a simple, yet delicious way to eat fresh fish and it fits the bill for almost any occasion.
![One of my favourite side dishes, and proudly Canadian of course, maple-glazed carrots ... yum!](http://www.impulsiveculinarian.com/wp-content/uploads/2016/09/image-26-1024x768.jpeg)
Everyone in our immediate, and extended family, loves (and I mean loves) these delicious maple-glazed carrots. If you’ve never tried them, please do yourself a big favour and check out my simple recipe for these beauties.

Lastly, this meal needs a starch, or at least we need to trick ourselves into thinking so; enter the awesomeness of cauliflower rice stage-left! I don’t believe I’ve posted a recipe for it yet, which I plan to rectify soon :)
