Chinese Jiaozi Potsticker Dumpling Recipe

Filling Ingredients

  • 1/2 pound Ground Pork
  • 1 cup Napa Cabbage, finely shredded
  • 1 tsp Pure Sesame Oil
  • 2-3 Green Onions, finely chopped
  • 1/2″ Fresh Ginger, finely chopped
  • 1 Garlic Clove, finely chopped
  • 1/2 tbsp Kosher Salt or 1 tbsp Soy Sauce
  • 1/2 tbsp Rice Vinegar
  • Dumpling wrappers

  • Add all filling ingredients to a mixing bowl and combine well
  • Place 1 tsp of filling in the center of each dumpling wrapper
  • Wet edges of the dumpling wrapper with a bit of water and fold in half, crimping and pressing the edges together to seal
  • Prepare a non-stick frying pan or wok that you can cover tightly when needed
  • Drizzle a generous tbsp of vegetable oil in the pan and arrange half the dumplings to fill it
  • Place the pan over medium-high heat until the dumplings begin to sizzle
  • Carefully add enough water to the pan so the level comes half way up the dumplings
  • Cover the pan and cook the dumplings for 5 minutes, checking to make sure the water does not evaporate completely (add more if necessary)
  • After cooking for 5 minutes, remove the cover until water is completely evaporated, reduce heat to medium-low
  • Cook until the bottom of each dumpling starts to get golden brown (around 1 minute) then remove from the heat immediately
  • Transfer the dumplings to a warm serving plate grilled side up
